I recently went shopping for makeup (Obviously) and I found new products on the Bourjois stand and was instantly excited. I have heard about the Rouge Edition Liquid lipsticks before and was pleased to find out they were on sale! I picked up 3 colours from the collection out of a total 9 shades which are listed on Bourjois website for a retail price of £8.99. As these products were 3 for 2 at the time I received a free eyeshadow trio which was a nice surprise.
The 3 colours which I got were:
My first impressions of these products is that they are really pigmented and soft when you swatch them and leave a very matte finish, however I find them quite hard to apply as they feel too soft on the lips. I also found that they do bleed over the natural line of your lips so if you want a smooth, seamless finish you may have to use a lip liner.
#12 Beau brun
#08 Grand Cru
Overall I think for the price they are a good purchase and would recommend them if you are used to wearing and applying liquid lipsticks as they take a little practice. If these products weren’t on the 3 for 2 offer at the time I wouldn’t have bought all three colours as I don’t think £8.99 is a reasonable price for a high street product like this.

On Thursday 19th November 2015 I attended a Makeup Artistry training day with a well known makeup artist called Angela Pumo. It was Amazing and I learnt so much from it and would recommend it to anyone who want to get into the makeup industry. There was around 20 people in our group and we learnt everything there is to know about bridal makeup and also catwalk makeup which we then got to try ourselves in the afternoon session.
For our Bridal look we learnt what colours worked together and how to apply makeup which suited the outfit, the colour of the clients hair and also their eyes. We could choose whether we wanted to create the Bridal look or the catwalk look so I didn’t chose not to recreate the catwalk look, however we were allowed to use glitter and bright eye shadows which looked great in photos.
At the end of the day we were presented with a certificate congratulating us on completing the training day and we could also buy some of the products that Angela used and also what we used. Overall it was a great day and I was so glad that I attended.
Thank you for reading,

Throughout Autumn I have been loving to wear more warm colours on my lips, most of the lipsticks I have been wearing are from the Kate Moss collection by Rimmel! Deeper reds are very in season all year round however I find adding a bold lip to a neutral eye can immediately enhance the overall look.
All the Lipsticks that I have listed below, I believe would match any skin tone as they are more warmer colours, however it’s all down to personal preference …
Here are a few of my favourites:
- Rimmel Kate Moss in “107”
- Rimmel Kate Moss in “30”
- Rimmel Kate Moss in “111”
- Rimmel Kate Moss in “08”
- MAC in “Brave”
